These are the places where our focus is most especially to serve, bless and invest in our wider communities, seeking to express God’s love in Jesus with those who are not regularly engaged in our Gathered LIFE or Scattered LIFE.

Hope Community Hub at St Barnabas

The Hope Hub, based at St Barnabas Church, Inham Nook, is a partnership between Chilwell Parish and Hope Nottingham that aims to bring hope and life to our neighbours with activities on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Shelter at Christ Church

During term time, on Wednesdays around school drop off and Thursdays after school, ‘The Shelter’ offers a warm welcome to all who pass by. We offer free snacks and hot drinks — including hot chocolate with whipped cream! The Shelter is just one of our ways of showing God’s love in action as we connect with members of our local community during the run of the mill moments of the day, offering a place of comfort and conversation. Whether you’re keen for a conversation or just want a hot drink and snack, you’re welcome to stop by and experience ‘the Shelter love’.

Happy Tots at Christ Church

Happy Tots runs every Thursday in term time, 09:30 – 11.00 am, in the church hall during term times. It charges £1.50 per family for each session. It is a safe place for children under 5 and their parents/carers to meet, play, get creative, drink and eat biscuits, and we end each morning with some songs. You will find a warm welcome by the team and we would love to see you there.

Our Space at Christ Church

Our Space is a safe and welcoming environment for families who care for children with a range of additional needs. It’s a place to meet, have fun together and to enable these families to have the opportunity for support and encouragement.
